Quigg Island is a 56-acre island that sits right in the middle of 336-acre Stevens Pond, in Liberty, Maine. Almost 40 acres of Quigg Island are the Quigg Island Community Forest, owned and managed by the not-for-profit Georges River Land Trust. The Community Forest is accessible only by water – you cannot drive to it. Most visitors to the Community Forest launch from the public boat launch at Stevens Pond park, just off Route 173 in Liberty.

The remaining portion of Quigg Island is privately owned, with just three of those properties accessible by land, via Quigg Island Road; however, those properties are each privately owned and not open to the public. The privately-owned camps on the island are also water-access-only, and there is no boat launch or water access available to the public via the roads that take one to Quigg Island from the village of Liberty.

This site provides information to both the public (mostly about the Community Forest, local weather, and Stevens Pond) and to those that own property along the three private roads used to reach Quigg Island (Mary Ordway Road, Retreat Way, and Quigg Island Road). Most of the property owner information will be devoted to providing road maintenance information.
